Colourful retreat in a former university: about coming of age and the conflict between knowledge and passion.
It's become a very welcome tradition in our relationship to experience a new Christmas Market every November for Tristan's birthday so when we were invited by 25hours Hotel to review their Indre By Hotel at the end of November it was an absolute no brainer and a very lucky opportunity. You already know how much I love all of the 25hours Hotels and their individual unique styles.

As you enter the architecturally regal-fronted hotel you are greeted by just about the coolest lobby I have ever seen - The most ginormous open room with a beautiful round marble topped bar and wait for it... flying pterodactyls above your head!!
This bar is called The Assembly Bar.
THE ASSEMBLY BAR
The Assembly acts as the meeting place for travellers. Formerly a place where lecturers and students would gather when it was a university building, today it’s a place where visitors from all over the world can come together. The Assembly bar is the perfect spot for a quick coffee in the morning, a snack after a stroll through the city or a drink before heading out to sample the Copenhagen nightlife. For anyone eager to start exploring the city without a full breakfast buffet, a Grab & Go bag with the essentials can be purchased at the bar between 8am and 11 am.
Opening hours:
Monday to Sunday: 9 AM - MIDNIGHT
NENI RESTAURANT
As with all the other 25hours Hotels, the NENI restaurant has its place.
NENI is an uncomplicated place – a colourful variety of dishes are served on the table, enabling everyone to try a bit of everything. The restaurant serves an eclectic brand of oriental cuisine, coupled with regional influences. Particular highlights of the NENI restaurant in Copenhagen are the private dining room, the community tables and their daytime café boasting a view of the church forecourt.
Opening hours:
Monday to Sunday: 12 PM - 3 PM / 5 PM - 11 PM (Kitchen closes at 10 PM)
Between 3 PM and 5 PM a selection of NENI dishes can be ordered at the Assembly Hall.
Brunch Sat + Sun 12 PM - 4 PM
CAFÉ DUSE
Café Duse is a place of italian culinary delight, located on the hotel's ground floor. You are treated to exquisite pastries, fresh coffee and authentic service. The cakes are also available to take away, so you can enjoy them whilst exploring the city centre.
Opening hours:
Monday to Wednesday: Closed
Thursday to Sunday: 12 PM - 6 PM

RENDEZVOUS
The Rendezvous is a cocktail bar situated in the 25hours hotel serving signature cocktails, fine spirits, vermouths and classic drinks.
Opening hours:
Tuesday to Thursday: 5 PM - MIDNIGHT
Friday + Saturday: 4 PM - MIDNIGHT
TIGER LILY
If you decide to dine at 25hours Tiger Lily you will embark on a culinary journey through Asia. Inspired by the continent’s bouquet of aromas and vibrant colours, the Tiger Lily is the perfect spot to enjoy innovative recipes in an exciting ambience. Communal tables, seating along the counter and a clear view of the open kitchen add the finishing touches to a sense of togetherness in the spirit of Asian hospitality – whether for lunch or dinner.
Opening hours:
Monday to Sunday - Lunch: 12 PM - 2:30 PM
Monday to Sunday - Dinner: 5:30 PM - 11 PM (Kitchen closes at 10 PM)
NOMAD DAY BAR
The perfect place to get a quick caffeine boost, Nomad Day Bar is an all-day café with the local coffee brand Social Brew and collaborating with a diverse pop-up scene in food & music.
Open everyday 10 AM until 10 PM.
VICTORY PUBLIC HOUSE
Victory Public House is located on the 8th floor and offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy expertly crafted cocktails and a refreshing Guinness, all while taking in stunning views of Copenhagen. Inspired by maritime heritage and the historic British navy ship, Victory, the bar combines the classic feel of an East London pub with a modern twist. It’s a great spot to unwind and appreciate both the unique drinks and the panoramic cityscape.
Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday: 5 PM - 12 PM

As you'll have seen on my blog I have been fortunate enough to have worked with 25hours hotels in a few different cities now, and regardless of what the city has been like, staying at a 25hours hotel is most definitely an experience in itself. Each of their hotels have their own "theme" embracing the relevant city. I have stayed with them in Munich, Paris and now Copenhagen and they seem to whisk you off to your own little wonderland.

THE ROOMS
The rooms in the 25hours hotels are not merely ‘off the shelf’; they are tailored to each location. Sometimes cool, sometimes colourful, sometimes nostalgic, but always interesting!
The Indre By Copenhagen offers 6 different room sizes; Medium Single, Medium, Medium Plus, Large, Extra Large and Gigantic. We stayed in the medium plus room on this ocassion which was plenty big enough and offered everything we needed as well as the added luxury of an outside courtyard thats spills off your room.
HOTEL CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check-in for The Indre By Copenhagen is guaranteed from 3 PM, however if your room is available you may be able to check in sooner, we were lucky enough to get our room just after midday.
I would suggest this all depends on the day of the week and how busy the hotel is, so please bear in mind early check-in isn't always available.
If you're hoping to explore the city as soon as you arrive you can always ask to leave your luggage with concierge.
The Indre By offers a really convenient check-out, which is available until 12 PM on the day of your departure compared to the early check-outs I experience regularly at other hotels. This means you can enjoy a lie-in and a slow relaxed breakfast before having to pack up your room and leave.
SUMMARY
We absolutely loved our stay at 25Hours The Indre By Hotel, it had an incredibly central and convenient location, which linked us easily to all areas of the city that we wanted to visit as well as offering its own huge array of bars and restaurants.
The room we stayed in was the medium plus which was a good price point yet offered us everything we could have asked for as well as an added bonus of the access onto a courtyard, where we enjoyed an evening tipple each night.
The price to stay at The Indre By differs hugely depending on which room and the month you visit, however here are some examples of the cheapest rates I've found;
Medium Room - £193.00 - £370.00 per night (including breakfast)
Large Room - £212.00 - £410.00 per night (including breakfast)
Gigantic - £380.00 - £480.00 per night (including breakfast)
It is also worth while checking whether they're running any promotions or offers, I have also seen discounted rates if you sign up to their loyalty scheme, but I haven't delved deeper so I don't know what this entails.
We would absolutely come back, we had such an incredible time, and for ideas of what you can do in and around Copenhagen please read my separate Copenhagen blog post.
25hours Hotels has also just opened their new Copenhagen hotel called 'Paper Island' which, no surprise, looks equally as incredible, so we will absolutely be visiting in the forseeable future.
